“When I was growing up everybody liked to give me advice that I should really try out for the basketball team because I was so tall. They’re thinking like, ‘why wouldn’t that work out, she’s so tall.’ What they’re not figuring in is, ‘why would that work out, she’s so uncoordinated.’ That’s the real truth of the matter. I love sports, I’m not good at them.”—Taylor Swift (via illneverleaveyoualone)
heres the pics from my t-party experience on may 28th!
fyi: plz ignore my hideous face in these, lol. i was tired and just got done crying when talking to taylor. and to top it all off i was super swolen on my cheeks from getting my wisdom teeth taken out a few days ago :/ lol.
okay here’s our story of how we got in! so it was near the end of the concert taylor was singing ‘fifteen’ and my niece said ‘theres her mom lets go get a picture with her!’ i wasnt sure if i wanted to climb over people to get out of the row and go to get a pic, but we decided to, and i am so glad we did. we got to where her mom was and i said ‘mrs. swift..’ and as soon as she turned around i just started BAWLING! lol idk what it was, but it hit me and i just said ‘this is the best night of my life. i’ll never forget it, i’ve waited 4 years to see taylor, this is the best night, etc’ and she was like ‘awwwww.’ and my niece started to cry too. taylor’s dad gave us some guitar picks and we got a picture with taylor’s mom. Then Andrea said ‘tell ya what, why don’t you girls go back to your seats and enjoy the rest of the show.’ Then she asked us where we were sitting and we showed her row 49 main floor and after getting back to our spots, a girl named krissy came over. she asked us ‘have you ever met taylor swift before,’ and broth of us were just like ‘OH MY GOD’ and she said ‘because you’re going to meet her tonight.’ by now we’re absolutely freaking out, crying, hugging her and screaming lol. thing is they had just ran out of passes so we were let in special, it was amazing to finally meet my idol! we got a t-party bracelet and some covergirl makeup. it was amazing meeting the band members and taylor herself, we could never show how thankful we are to Andrea and taylor’s people for making our dreams come true! we had a wonderful time and its a night i’ll never forget
lol i look dumb but w/e it was the best night of my life
On Saturday I drove to Nashville (a two hour drive) to spend the day waiting in line for Taylor Swift’s Speak Now Help Now concert. I figured by getting there at 11 I would be first in line. NOPE! There were probably 100+ already there when I got there. People actually camped out over night. Crazy! I went alone, but made a few friends while there, so the 7 1/2 wait wasn’t as bad as I had thought it would be. Waiting in line paid off, because I was extremely close to the stage-only three people were in front of me!
I tried taking photos, but between crying(I cried almost immediately after seeing her pop up from the stage at the beginning of Spark’s Fly) and singing and dancing, these were the only decent photos I got.
“People have asked, ‘What about Taylor Swift’ but she’s too tall, too slim and has no boobs. She’s like a supermodel! You’d have to saw her legs off at the knee and get her a boob job to play me.”—Dolly Parton (on who would play the younger version of herself in a movie)
